On Tuesday 6 July, at 20.00 hours, Manuel Tapial will give a conference in the hall of the Meliá Araguaney Hotel of Santiago de Compostela. He will be accompanied by Galician lawyer Delfa Losa.

Tapial is one of the activists who were in the Freedom Flotilla, a humanitarian convoy of six ships carrying 10,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza, which were attacked by the Israeli army last 31 May. Among the 750 people from over 60 nationalities on board, there were three Spanish: Manuel Tapial and Laura Arau, members of the Association Cultura, Paz y Solidaridad Haydée Santamaria, and the Valencian journalist David Segarra who works for Telesur channel.

Manuel Tapial, who travelled in the Mavi Marmara, the main ship of the flotilla, has defined the assault that killed nine people as an "attack on humanity" and said that his aim "was to carry out an action of solidarity and end the blockade that Gaza suffers since three years ago."
